Skip-The-Line
Skip-The-Line is like Pay-To-Play except that the guest only pays if they want their episode released on a certain date, week, or period. This is useful for guests who have a book, product, course, etc. coming out soon and don’t want to wait weeks or months (depending on your backlog) for their episode to release.
It is especially common for authors to do podcast tours (think similar to a book tour back in the day). This is when an author will go on several podcasts in a short time right before a book launch to help increase awareness of their book and increase sales as well.
Podcast guests, especially those that would fall under the categories I mentioned, rarely frown upon being presented with this option. Keep in mind that the vast majority will decline the offer to skip the line because they maybe do not have a message, book, product, course, or service that is that time and therefore they don’t care when their episode comes out. As long as it comes out eventually, of course.
