Pre-Recorded Masterclass or Interview
A problem some podcast guests have is time. As a guest, you’d love to get on as many shows as possible, but that just isn’t workable. An option I have presented to some clients is to consider recording an audio presentation and reaching out to relevant podcasts and see if the host would consider your already pre-recorded audio.
Now, this isn’t common practice as yet, and it may never be. You will get more no’s than yes’s because one of the big reasons for having a podcast is for interview communications. However, just like podcast guests are short on time, so are podcast hosts. There may be some hosts in your industry that are short on time and low on podcast episodes “in the tank”. This would be a viable option for them to have a masterclass presentation by a “guest host” or “guest speaker”. I would recommend the guest and/or host personalize the intro/outro to each podcast episode like this.
If the podcast host declines your offer to provide valuable content to their audience for very little work on their end, you may offer the podcast host compensation for being able to use their platform and leverage their audience. They are more likely to agree to an arrangement like this if there is monetary compensation or some other publicity trade such as a masterclass pod swap where you each record a masterclass that is featured on each other’s podcasts.
Another option is to use a service like Rumble Studio where you can record asynchronously. Here you can record your questions, and then have podcast guests record their answers, and then you or your team can splice it all together into a cohesive episode. This avoids the need to find a mutual time to schedule, and reschedule, and oh wait… yes, reschedule once again.
